“Oh the thinks you can think” when you do Seussical the Musical as your Academy show. And what a show it was! Not only did my large “thinks” become a reality, but they surpassed all expectations and helped showcase our talented Academy students! This show was the largest in the Academy’s history and proved worthy of Dr. Seuss himself.
A big thank you goes out to Jayme McBride who inspired the cast each night as Artistic Director, Brandon Bellar who gave confidence as Music Director, Raymond Girard who created magic as Costume Designer, and Karen Walsh who transformed our stage to the wonderful world of Suess and created one of the best sets I have seen as Set Designer. We also could not have had such success without our amazing parents! From working the light board and pulling drops to gluing costumes and running the ever busy concession stand, our Academy parents are just as inspiring as their kids. Thank you to everyone who helped make this show truly magical! Summer is fast approaching which means one word in the Academy... CAMPS! We have put together some funfilled camps this summer that will challenge students on all levels of theatre. Don’t miss out! Registration begins May 12th.
As we wrap up our semester with theatre showcases and dance recitals, I can’t help but think what a great year the Academy has had. Our talented students and supportive community make my job very easy to come to! Thank you for a great year. See you this summer!
