Jason
Jason has been volunteering with ALT
since 1999 and is not only very excited to begin his
second season on staff at ALT, but thrilled to be
named the new Academy Director. Jason recently graduated
from WTAMU and earned a degree in Mass Communications
with an emphasis on Advertising and Public Relations.
Jason has been an active member of
the ALT Guild since 2004 and began teaching classes
at the ALT Academy Dance Studio 2 years ago. Classes
Jason instructs include Hip/Hop, Musical Theatre,
and Beginning Ballet and Tap. This past fall, Jason
choreographed Disney’s High School Musical
and Sandie Review for Amarillo High School
and the ALT Academy's spring production of You're
A Good Man, Charlie Brown.
Jason has performed in over 20 productions
at ALT and is most remembered for his ALTA award winning
performances as Ritchie Valens in Buddy,
The Buddy Holly Story and Cheche’ in
Anna in the Tropics. Other favorite performances
include El Gallo in The Fantasticks, Mohammed
in The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife,
and Ceyx/Orpheus in Metamorphoses.
