This season Allen Shankles is celebrating his 25th year as Amarillo Little Theatre’s Managing and Artistic Director. To applaud his dedication and to celebrate his tenure, we are raising money for a new scholarship in his name.
Graduating students in the ALT Academy program will be encouraged to apply for the Allen Shankles Academy Scholarship. Academy Director, Jason Crespin, will outline the scholarship application process with his students. A committee of ALT Board Members will interview the candidates in the spring, and announce the recipient in May 2009. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating Academy Senior to help fund the next step in his or her educational endeavors.
Contributions will be accepted throughout the ALT season. We ask each friend of ALT to give $25 or more to the Allen Shankles Academy Scholarship.
