Wendy was born and raised in Spokane Washington. It was there she discovered her love for dance at a very early age. After finishing a collabrative study with Eastern Washington University and the Spokane Ballet, she moved to Winston-Salem NC to study under master choreographer Mallory Graham. She landed a tour with Dance Caravan, giving her a priceless opportunity to dance and assist for some of the country's best choreographers and Master Instructors. In 1991, after finishing a music video with Christian artist Carmen, she and her husband moved to Virginia. She held the title of Artistic Director of Toes the dance studio. Upon arriving in Amarillo, she worked her way up to Associate Artistic Director for the Stepping Out program. This was a program offering dance to students in the Amarillo/Canyon public schools. There is nothing like putting 200 kids on stage at one time. After a liftetime of pursuing dance both as a performer and instructor, Wendy calls Amarillo home. She lives here with her husband, James and their three children. She joined ALT in 2002. She brings a conservative approach to her class giving her students a strong foundation to succeed both in the studio as well as any other endeavor.
