Allen
 This
is Allen's 24th season as Managing/Artistic Director
of ALT. Allen has directed in excess of 150 productions
and appeared on stage in several other productions.
During Allen's tenure ALT has registered remarkable
growth in attendance, season ticket sales, volunteer
participation and staff size, with the ALT budget
growing from annual totals of $50,000 to well over
$900,000.
Allen has also been instrumental in
the development of the ALT Academy program, guided
the addition of the Michael and Cindy Terk Lobby at
the Mainstage site and brought the Adventure Theatre
into existence. The newly renovated Mainstage auditorium
is the most recent project he has brought to fruition.
Before assuming his position at ALT,
Allen earned a BA in Theatre from West Texas State
University and acted professionally with the prestigious
Actor's Theatre of Louisville and TEXAS outdoor drama.
He has served on the Board of Texas Nonprofit
Theatres and was a theatre panelist for Texas Commission
on the Arts.
Allen and his wife Carrie have two
daughters: Jordan, who is pursuing a career in Dallas,
and Alex is a Fashion Design student at the
Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
